Tahini Sauce

Tahini Sauce

Featured Spices
½ cup tahini paste
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon sea salt
¼ cup cold water
¼ cup lemon juice
1 teaspoon fresh parsley, finely chopped

When was the last time you whipped together an irresistible dressing in less than 5 minutes? This Lebanese tahini sauce is made with ingredients you can count on one hand and then use as a dressing for all manner of good things. You can whip up tahini sauce in a small mixing bowl and immediately experience the kind of flavor-rich joy that will drive you to picking up every last drop with your finger and licking it clean.

The main ingredient in tahini sauce is tahini paste, made with lightly roasted sesame seeds (and super easy to make). This Lebanese dipping sauce goes so well with falafel, you may never eat those tasty chickpea balls without it again. But this creamy sauce also makes a great dressing for salads or any meal you want to add a bit of cream to.

Getting started

In a small mixing bowl, add the following ingredients:
tahini
garlic powder
salt
lemon juice

Whisk the ingredients to blend them together. Slowly add small amounts of water while continuing to whisk the mixture. Your dressing is ready to serve when it takes on a creamy, slightly runny texture.

Could that have been any easier? We think not.

Serve as a tasty dipping sauce with falafel, over salad, or as a great topping to any savory meal.
Refrigerate unused portion in an air-tight container for up to 2 weeks.
